Jayapura – The National Police again distributed Social Assistance (Bansos) in the form of cold jackets 7 boxes (100 kg) and 100 food packages (700 kg) for people affected by extreme weather, namely drought in Puncak Regency, Central Papua.
Head of Papua Police Public Relations Kombes Pol. Ignatius Benny Ady Prabowo, S.H., S.I.K., M.Kom, in his press statement, Tuesday (22/8/2023) said that the distribution of this assistance is a form of Polri’s concern for victims of the drought disaster in Puncak.
“We hope that this social assistance can ease the burden on the people affected by the drought disaster in Puncak Regency,” said the Head of Public Relations.
The aid was sent from Mozes Kilangin Airport Timika to Agandume District using Reven Global aircraft with registration number PK-RVV with Pilot Capt Mustap.
“The distribution of this social assistance is because it is the duty of the Police to help and serve people who are experiencing drought disasters,” he said.
The distribution of these logistics is clear evidence of the commitment of the National Police, especially the Papua Police, in helping communities affected by disasters. This activity is also a form of synergy between various elements of the police in carrying out humanitarian tasks.
We also hope that the assistance that has been given and that will be given to the victims is right on target so that the conditions of the residents in the Regency will soon recover.
