Jayapura- The Armed Criminal Group (KKB) is acting again at the beginning of 2024. The action was carried out in Intan Jaya Regency led by Apen Kobogau (Deputy Pangodap VIII).
The attack from the KKB allegedly came from behind the Telkomsel BTS Tower, Bilogai Village, Sugapa District, Intan Jaya Regency which resulted in 1 Cartenz Peace Operation Personnel being shot.
Responding to this, Kasatgas Humas Ops Damai Cartenz AKBP Dr. Bayu Suseno, S.H., M.H., M.M explained that the personnel who were hit by gunshot wounds had been evacuated and first aid was given at the Sugapa Health Center, but by doctor Piter that the personnel were declared dead.
“Bripda Alfandi Steve Karamoy was shot in the left jaw through the right jaw and resulted in the death of the member,” said Bayu Suseno.
Bayu further said that members of Ops Damai Cartenz who were in the area experienced an attack from the KKB for 30 minutes from behind the post.
“We are currently still combing the KKB movement in the Intan Jaya Region,” said Bayu Suseno.
Kaops Damai Cartenz KBP Dr. Faizal Ramadhani emphasized that the Armed Criminal Group will be sought for its whereabouts and will be processed in accordance with applicable law.
“Currently our troops are still pursuing and sweeping around the crime scene,” concluded Faizal.
