Jayapura- Pancasila is a guide in various aspects of Indonesian life, including in the formation of laws, government, and moral values of society. Pancasila itself is the philosophical basis and ideology of the Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia.
As mentioned earlier, June 1, 1945 is considered the “birthday of Pancasila” and Pancasila also reflects the spirit of inclusiveness and diversity in the life of the nation and state which is celebrated annually on June 1.
Related to that, Papuan figure who is also the Chairman of the DPP Garuda Merah Putih Republik Indonesia Yonas Alfons Nusi when interviewed in Jayapura 30/5/2023 said, As the leader of the Garuda Merah Putih Republik Indonesia organization, it has become our agreement that every year in the celebration of the birthday of Pancasila, activities will be carried out which provide information, provide education to the new generation of Papua.
According to him, the meaning of Pancasila itself has been carried out by the Papuan people and this is what we need to convey in our actions, our movements for how to maintain the sovereignty of the Unitary Republic of Indonesia with Pancasila as the basis of the unitary state of the Republic of Indonesia.
“We celebrate the birthday of Pancasila in 2023 by participating in maintaining state sovereignty, maintaining security and public order and maintaining the continuity of development in the land of Papua and in general the unitary state of the Republic of Indonesia”, also Yonas Nusi.
