Papuan Provincial Government Submits Seven Raperdasi to DPR Papua, Four Have Been Facilitated by the Ministry of Home Affairs

Jayapura – The Papua Provincial Government (Pemprov) officially submitted seven Provincial Regional Regulations (Raperdasi) to the Papuan People’s Representative Council (DPR) to be discussed immediately in the plenary meeting which is scheduled to be held in the near future. The submission took place on Tuesday, January 6, 2026.

The seven reparations were handed over directly by the Deputy Governor of Papua, Aryoko AF Rumaropen, SP, MEng, to the Chairman of the Regional Regulation Formation Agency (Bapemperda) of the Papuan House of Representatives, Adam Arisoy. This activity was also witnessed by the Chairman of Commission I of the Papuan House of Representatives, Tan Wie Long, the Deputy Chairman of Commission V of the Papuan House of Representatives, Jayakusuma, and the Secretary of the Papuan House of Representatives, Dr. Juliana J. Waromi, SE, MSi.

Of the seven submissions, four of which have been facilitated by the Ministry of Home Affairs (Kemendagri) of the Republic of Indonesiaz The four submissions are:

1.⁠ ⁠Raperda regarding Changes to the Regulation Number 18 of 2023 regarding the Establishment and Arrangement of Regional Devices;

2.⁠ ⁠Raperdation on the Implementation of Food Reserves;

3.⁠ ⁠Raperdation regarding Amendments to the Regulation Number 12 of 2023 regarding the Procurement of Goods/Services for Papuan Indigenous Business Actors (OAP);

4.⁠ ⁠Raperdation about the Implementation of Sports for People with Disabilities.

Meanwhile, three other rapeds that were also submitted to be discussed in the Papuan House of Representatives, namely:

1.⁠ ⁠Raperdasi about Regional Energy General Plan for 2025-2035;

2.⁠ ⁠Raperdation about Youth;

3.⁠ ⁠Raperdation on the Development, Development, and Protection of Regional Language and Literature.

To the media crew, Deputy Governor of Papua Aryoko Rumaropen explained that the four reports that have been facilitated by the Ministry of Home Affairs previously are part of the priority agreement that has been agreed with the Papuan House of Representatives.

“Previously, we and the Papuan House of Representatives had set seven regulations to be sent to the Ministry of Home Affairs for facilitation. From these results, four proposals have been approved, namely the Implementation of Food Reserves, the Formation and Arrangement of Regional Devices, the Procurement of Goods and Services for Papuan Indigenous Entrepreneurs, and the Implementation of Disability Sports,” said Deputy Governor Aryoko Rumaropen after the handover.

He hopes that all the submitted regulations can be immediately discussed and established as regional regulations, so that it can be the legal basis for the implementation of government and development in the Papua Province.

The Papua Provincial Government emphasized its commitment to continue to synergize with the Papuan House of Representatives in strengthening regional regulations that favor the interests of the community, especially in supporting sustainable development and protecting the rights of Papuan Indigenous People.
