Jayapura – The Paniai Resort Police are currently investigating the case of the burning of the Office of the Civil Service and Human Resources Development Agency (BKPSDM) located in the Kampung Madi Office Complex, East Paniai District, Paniai Regency.
Head of Papua Police Public Relations Commissioner Ignatius Benny Ady Prabowo, S.H., S.I.K., M.Kom when confirmed confirmed the incident.
Kabid Humas said the incident began with a report from KPU security members who saw a fire coming from the office.
“According to information from the witness, the fire occurred at 00.55 wit which then the witness reported it to the Paniai Police Headquarters,” said the Head of Public Relations, Monday (01/01/2024).
Responding to the report, the 2024 New Year’s Eve security team led by the Head of Operations of Paniai Police AKP Henry J. Manurung, S. Sos went to the scene.
“The fire was extinguished an hour later using the Paniai Police AWC vehicle,” said the Head of Public Relations.
Meanwhile, Paniai Police Chief, AKBP Abdus Syukur Felani, S.I.K said that there were no casualties and material losses, namely one BKPSDM Office Building that was burned down.
“Currently the Paniai Police Criminal Investigation Unit is investigating the case to reveal the cause of the burning of the Paniai BKPSDM Office,” concluded the Paniai Police Chief.
