Jayapura City,- The people of Jayapura City, let’s work together to keep the security and social security situation safe, calm and peaceful.

This is an appeal from the Jayapura City Police Chief, Commissioner Pol. Dr. Victor D. Mackbon, S.H., S.IK., M.H., M.Si in Jayapura via media crew, Friday (29/12) morning.

In his interview, KBP Police Chief Victor Mackbon asked all elements of society in Jayapura City to jointly restrain themselves by not being provoked or provoked by various types of incitement, whether in the form of sound recordings, videos or images that are widely spread on social media where information The truth of what was pocketed is not yet clear, let alone carrying out a raid

“We urge all members of the public to restrain themselves by not taking actions that could harm themselves or others and also not to be provoked by all kinds of news, including issues that are not yet clear,” said the Police Chief.

Apart from that, his party also added that all the incidents that occurred in Jayapura City during the accompaniment of the body of the former Governor of Papua, the late Mr. Lukas Enembe, are now being handled and steps will be taken by the police in the form of inquiries and investigations, whether it be acts of arson or damage to public facilities.

“We have taken initial steps to deal with the perpetrators of destroying public facilities and also setting fire to kiosks in Waena and Jayapura City and later we will coordinate with the Jayapura Police so that we can take firm action in the form of law enforcement against the perpetrators,” said the Police Chief.

“Until now, the situation in Jayapura City is safe and conducive, where everything can run safely and smoothly even though there is a little friction and we also believe that there are intruders who want to create chaos in the funeral process for the deceased,” said KBP Victor Mackbon. (*)
