Jayapura – West Beoga Community Health Center construction workers who were victims of attacks by the Armed Criminal Group (KKB) in Puncak Regency, Central Papua, were evacuated to Timika. This evacuation process was carried out this morning, Monday (27/11/2023), at the UPBU Mozes Kilangin Timika Airport Cargo Terminal, Timika, Mimika Regency.
Head of Public Relations of the Papua Regional Police, Pol Kombes. Ignatius Benny Ady Prabowo, S.H., S.I.K., M.Kom, provided information regarding the evacuation process using a Dabi Air aircraft with the registration number PK-DPL.
“The evacuation was carried out using a Dabi Air aircraft, namely PK-DPL, piloted by Capt. “Boyke on the Timika-Beoga-Timika route,” he said.
Commissioner Benny said that the bodies of the deceased Satiman (40), Suyanto (40) and Triono (50) and two injured people were taken to the Mimika District Hospital for further medical treatment.
“The body will temporarily be buried at the Mimika Regional Hospital, and the funeral process is still waiting for agreement from the family,” said Commissioner Benny.
The Head of Public Relations of the Papua Regional Police also informed that the joint TNI-Polri apparatus is currently still increasing security at the location to anticipate possible subsequent incidents.
“Currently, security forces in Puncak Regency are increasing security in vulnerable areas to prevent similar incidents and carrying out further investigations to arrest the perpetrators involved in the attack,” concluded Police Commissioner. Benny.
Previously, the Armed Criminal Group (KKB) was suspected of attacking five workers on a health center construction project in Jambul Village, West Beoga District, Puncak Regency, Central Papua Province on Friday, November 24 2023.
