Jayapura- Chairman of the Mandala Trikora Youth for Papua Province, Ali Kabiay, firmly condemns the massacre carried out by the Armed Criminal Group (KKB) in Yahukimo district which resulted in 7 civilians dying and 11 others being injured, on Monday 16 October 2023 .
Ali Kabiay, when met in Jayapura on Wednesday/8/11/2023, said that the KKB’s actions were very inhumane and had violated human rights and also violated God’s law.
“We hope that the security forces can take firm action against these groups because they really hinder development, both human resource development and building basic infrastructure in Yahukimo district,” said Ali Kabiay.
Ali Kabiay again hopes that Susi Air pilot Captain Philip Mark Merthens, who is being held captive by the leader of the Nduga KKB, Egianus Kogoya, will soon be released for the sake of humanity.
“What Brother Egianus Kogoya did was a serious violation of international law because the person being held captive was a foreign citizen. For that reason, Brother Egianus Kogoya, if you have a conscience, please free Susi Air pilot Captain Philip Mark Merthens,” concluded Ali Kabiay.
