Jayapura- Two KKB members, suspects in the attack on Brimob members in Yahukimo Regency in November 2022, namely the initials “A.S” (25) Village treasurer (village) Peneki and “K.G” alias “K.B” (27) students, along with evidence departed from Yahukimo and arrived in Jayapura in order to hand over suspects and evidence to the Wamena District Attorney’s Office in Jayawijaya Regency, Thursday, 10/8/2023.
Head of Operation Peace Cartenz-2023, Kombes Pol. Dr. Faizal Ramadhani, S.Sos, S.I.K, M.H., when contacted said, the two suspects departed from Yahukimo and arrived in Jayapura and received a tight escort from the Cartenz Peace Ops Task Force. The two suspects are currently at the Papua Police to be handed over to the Wamena District Attorney in Jayawijaya Regency later.
“The two suspects are currently in the Papua Police detention center while waiting for the results of the coordination of Police Investigators and the Wamena District Attorney’s Office to be handed over to the Wamena District Attorney’s Office in Jayawijaya Regency,” said Ka Ops Damai Cartenz.
He continued, the two suspects were involved in the attack and shooting of members of the Cartenz Peace Operation Preventive Task Force in 2022, namely BRIPDA Gilang Aji Prasetyo at Kilo Meter 8 Kab. Yahukimo to cause death and BRIPTU Fazuarsyah was shot in the left back and was in intensive care by the Dekai Hospital medical team on November 30, 2022.
“Evidence that was also handed over with the two suspects, namely, 6 Assembled Firearms and 4 Grains of Ammunition”, concluded the Head of Cartenz Peace Ops.
