Timika – Head of Indigenous Peoples for Region II Seireri Sopater Ayomi fully supports the legal process for illegal firearm owners in the Yapen Islands Police area, Papua Province, Wednesday (07/06/2023).
As the Traditional Leader who oversees 5 Regencies in the Seireri region also appeals to all residents on this land area to maintain peace in the region.
“Grandmother, brother and sister, ladies and gentlemen, wherever you are, let’s keep peace in the Seireri customary area, especially in the Yapen Islands Regency,” said Sopater.
In addition, his party also supports government programs for development in the Yapen Islands Regency.
“I represent the Indigenous people of Region II Seireri and invite all communities living on this customary land to fully support the government’s program, namely development in the Yapen Islands Regency area,” he concluded.
He also hopes that the land of Papua, especially in Kab. Kep. Yapen has always been safe from the threat of crime which has caused people to feel uneasy.
