Inspector General of Police Mathius said the Cartenz Damai Task Force was preparing appropriate, firm and measurable law enforcement steps and the Papuan Police were very open to all parties in the negotiation process.
“Of course negotiations can be carried out with anyone, I open myself up to all parties, which from the beginning, namely the Nduga government, worked closely with the Police Chief. Then there were also parties from Komnas HAM who offered themselves and we accepted them,” said Mathius.
Furthermore, his party has also sent a special team to try to negotiate and facilitate all parties who want to help in this case the release of the pilot who was held hostage by the KKB group Egianus Kogoya.
“I hope that these negotiations will produce good results, we will provide an opportunity for the Egianus group to return the pilots through good negotiation channels. Everything is running and from the church side we will help one of them, the Kingmi Church, which will later send a trusted person to carry out the negotiations, “concluded Inspector General Fakhiri.
