“So far, tolerance between religious communities in Jayapura Regency has been going well so it must be maintained and maintained for the future,” he said.
He continued, interfaith tolerance is very good in Papua in general and in Jayapura Regency in particular. people of any religion always appreciate and respect each other.
“Papua is an integral part of the Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia and is home to all tribes in the archipelago,” said Rev. Albert Suebu.
He added, “For example, we can see that during the Easter celebration Muslims guarded and regulated traffic in front of the church, and vice versa during the Eid celebration church youth helped regulate traffic and security around the mosque,” he concluded.
