Timika – The Joint Team of TNI-Polri evacuated 18 Health Center workers and the community from the Alama District, Nduga Regency, to Mimika Regency.
The evacuation process was confirmed by the Head of Public Relations of the Papua Police, Kombes Pol. Ignatius Benny Ady Prabowo, SH, SIK, M.Kom when met at the Media Center, Monday (20/2).
The Head of Public Relations said that this was done to anticipate attacks and threats and disturbances by the Armed Criminal Group led by Egianus Kogoya.
“The evacuation was carried out using Helly Karakal TNI AU EC-725/HT-7201 piloted by Major Pnb Arif Khoirudin with a total of 6 rescue personnel led by Brigadier General Juintah O. Sembiring (Dandrem 172/PWY),” he said.
He continued, after landing at the Mozes Kilangin Airport Helipad in Timika, the workers and the community were taken to the Mimika Hospital for an immediate medical examination.
“During the evacuation process it was known to run smoothly and safely. Currently, the workers and the community who were successfully evacuated are immediately subjected to medical examinations at the Mimika Hospital and will later collect data and information at the Mimika Police,” said Kombes Pol. Ignatius Benny.
