Jayapura – The Papuan armed criminal group (KKB) has again spread terrifying terror.
A resident in the Bilogai area, Sugapa, Intan Jaya Regency, Central Papua, was shot on Monday, January 30 2023. The victim was Sahar, a civilian workshop worker.
The Head of the Cartenz Peace Task Force, Senior Commissioner Faizal Ramadhani, confirmed the incident.
“It’s true that the victim was shot and hit in the back. Currently the victim is being treated at the Sugapa Health Center. The shooting incident occurred around 15.00 WIT,” he said as quoted by Antara, Monday, January 30, 2023.
He said that until now his party had not received a complete report from the Intan Jaya Police regarding the shooting incident due to problems with telecommunications lines.
“We are still waiting for a complete report regarding the shooting incident and it has not been confirmed which group the perpetrators were from the KKB,” explained Kombes Faizal who also serves as Director of the General Criminal Investigation Unit for the Papua Regional Police.
Regarding the possibility of the shooting victims being evacuated to Nabire, Faizal said that up to now it was not because there were no longer any aircraft operating. “It is possible that on Tuesday (31/1) the victim will be evacuated to Nabire to receive further medical treatment,” he said.
