Mulia — Personnel from the Kulirik Post of the Carstensz-2026 Peace Operation Task Force conducted a foot patrol in Muara District, Puncak Jaya Regency, Central Papua, on Tuesday (May 19, 2026), to maintain security and public order in the area.
The patrols were conducted through several residential areas and locations deemed vulnerable to disturbances to public order and security (kamtibmas).
In addition to monitoring the security situation, personnel also engaged in dialogue with the community to convey public order and security messages and encourage them to work together to maintain a safe and conducive situation.
Carstensz-2026 Peace Operation Head, Inspector General of Police Dr. Faizal Ramadhani, S.Sos., S.I.K., M.H., stated that the routine patrols carried out by personnel in the field are part of a preventative measure to create a sense of security for the people of Papua, particularly Puncak Jaya Regency.
“The presence of personnel in the community demonstrates our commitment to maintaining a conducive security situation and providing a sense of security and comfort to the community,” said the Head of the Cartenz Peace Operations.
He added that the Cartenz Peace Operations Task Force personnel will continue to prioritize a humane approach in all field duties.
Meanwhile, the Deputy Head of the Cartenz-2026 Peace Operations, Senior Commissioner of Police Adarma Sinaga, S.I.K., M.Hum., stated that dialogic patrols are one way to strengthen communication and build rapport between security forces and the community.
“Through these routine patrols, we hope the community can carry out their daily activities safely and calmly. Synergy between the police and the community is crucial for maintaining peace in Papua,” he said.
The Cartenz-2026 Peace Operations Task Force emphasized that it will continue to increase patrol activities and use a persuasive approach in several areas to maintain security stability and support the creation of a peaceful and conducive situation in Central Papua.
