Nabire — Task Force Operation Peace Cartenz together with Nabire Police carried out the reconstruction of the murder case of two Brigade Mobile Batalyon C Nabire personnel, namely Brigpol M. Arif Maulana and Briptu Nelson C. Runaki, on Trans Nabire – Enarotali Street, Siriwo District, Tuesday (8/26/2025).
This reconstruction is an important part of the investigation process to ensure legal transparency as well as give assurance to the public that this case is handled seriously and professionally.
Led by the Head of the Task Force Action Operation Peace Cartenz, Chief Commissaris of Police Wahyu, S.I.K., M.H., the activity of presenting the suspect Suplianus Bagau alias Siprianus Weya alias Supli (31) who directly demonstrated his role in the crime. A total of 21 scenes were shown to describe the chronology of the murder that occurred on August 13, 2025.
From the results of the reconstruction, it is known that the armed group led by Aibon Kogoya is divided into three teams with different roles: a group of shooters, a group of two victims’ executors, and a group of situation supervisors. After taking action, the perpetrators seized the victim’s firearms and even recorded a video of a statement of position in their emergency camp.
The implementation of reconstruction was carried out with maximum security, involving 15 tactical vehicles, 24 long-barreled weapons, and combat equipment to ensure that the course of the activities was safe and conducive.
Deputy Head of Operation Peace Cartenz, Brigadier General Police Dr. Faizal Ramadhani, S.Sos., S.I.K., M.H., emphasized that this process is proof of the officer’s commitment in maintaining legal transparency.
“This reconstruction ensures the role of each perpetrator as well as strengthens the legal evidence. We make sure that the entire process runs according to the procedure and is open,” explained Brigadier General Pol. Faizal
He also emphasized that the state is present to provide a sense of security for the Papuan people.
“There is no place for armed groups to commit violence in Papua. We will continue to act firmly,” he added.
Meanwhile, Deputy Head of Operation Peace Cartenz, Chief Commissaris of Police Adarma Sinaga, S.I.K., M.Hum., ensures that activities run smoothly.
“The reconstruction took place safely, orderly, and under control. This will be an important material to complete the case file before being handed over to the prosecutor,” he said.
After the reconstruction, the suspect was secured again to the Nabire Police Station. The apparatus emphasized that they will continue to hunt for other perpetrators who are still on the run.
Through this activity, the government and security apparatus send a strong message that the law is enforced fairly and transparently, and the Papuan people are urged to remain calm and support the ongoing process.
