Jayapura – Papua Police Chief Inspector General Mathius Fakhiri emphasized that law enforcement will be carried out against members of the KKB led by Ananias Mimin who are currently carrying out shootings and attacks on security forces and civilians in Oksibil, Bintang Mountains Regency (Pegubin).
“I have ordered Karo Ops and Dirkrimum to prepare a team that will be sent to Oksibil, Bintang Mountains Regency, Papua Mountains,” said Fakhiri in Jayapura, Saturday, September 23 2023.
The team sent by the Papua Regional Police’s Criminal Investigation Directorate will carry out a thorough investigation of both those who were shot and assaulted as well as victims of arson so that all are subject to legal proceedings.
The chase was carried out so that the group would not act again and disturb the people living on the outskirts of Oksibil.
“Hopefully with additional reinforcement from the Papua Police, assisted by the Pegubin Police and the Cartenz Peace Task Force, they can slowly be arrested,” said Fakhiri.
He hopes that members will carefully monitor and pay attention to the group because if you look at the video circulating it looks clean so it is assumed they do not live in the forest.
