Oksibil, Pegunungan Bintang– Personnel of the Cartenz Peace Operation Task Force conducted a dialogue-based patrol in Oksibil District, Pegunungan Bintang Regency, on Monday (July 20). Led by Second Inspector (Ipda) Ranto Achmad Chamdani, S.K.M., the patrol focused not only on monitoring the local security situation but also on engaging directly with residents and visiting an elementary school in Oksibil District.

During the school visit, the personnel met with teachers and students and held brief conversations about ongoing teaching and learning activities. The officers were warmly welcomed by the students, who enthusiastically interacted with them and took photographs together. The personnel also encouraged the children to study diligently, respect one another, and maintain a spirit of unity and cooperation within their school environment.

Following the school visit, the patrol continued to several community activity areas, where personnel spoke with local residents about conditions in their neighborhoods. They encouraged community members to promptly report any potential security concerns while also providing an opportunity for residents to share issues affecting their surroundings.

Throughout the patrol, personnel monitored several locations that serve as centers of community activity. No security incidents requiring police action were identified, and public activities continued as normal.

Community leader Engelbertus Uropmabin said the dialogue patrol provided an important opportunity for residents to communicate directly with security personnel.

“Activities like this are valuable because they allow community members to express their concerns directly to the authorities. The personnel’s visit to the school also showed care for the children and helped them become more familiar with the officers. We hope this kind of communication continues so that any issues within the community can be addressed together as quickly as possible,” said Engelbertus Uropmabin.

The Head of the 2026 Cartenz Peace Operation, Inspector General of Police Dr. Faizal Ramadhani, S.Sos., S.I.K., M.H., stated that dialogue patrols are part of the operation’s preventive approach to maintaining security while strengthening communication with the public through direct engagement in the field.

“Dialogue patrols provide personnel with the opportunity to listen to community feedback while monitoring the security situation. Engagement with residents as well as educational institutions is an important part of building positive communication in the course of carrying out our duties,” he said.

Meanwhile, the Deputy Head of the 2026 Cartenz Peace Operation, Senior Commissioner of Police Adarma Sinaga, S.I.K., M.Hum., emphasized that community participation, including involvement from the education sector, plays an important role in maintaining regional security.

“The communication established through dialogue patrols is expected to facilitate the exchange of information between the community and security personnel, enabling any potential security concerns to be addressed appropriately according to conditions on the ground,” he said.

The dialogue patrol is one of the routine community engagement activities carried out by the Cartenz Peace Operation Task Force in Pegunungan Bintang Regency. In addition to monitoring the security situation, the activity serves as a platform for open dialogue with residents while strengthening communication with teachers and students through school visits as part of the operation’s preventive approach in Oksibil.
