Puncak, Central Papua – The Carstensz-2026 Peace Operation Task Force continues to intensify efforts to maintain public security and order (kamtibmas) through dialogue patrols in several vulnerable areas, including Sinak District, Puncak Regency, Central Papua.
On Tuesday (June 2), Carstensz Peace Task Force personnel conducted foot patrols in the Sinak District area, visiting residents and monitoring the security situation in the area.
This activity was carried out as a preventative measure to prevent potential disturbances to public order and security while strengthening relations between security forces and the community. During the patrols, personnel engaged in direct dialogue with residents, conveying messages of public order and security, and encouraging the community to work together to maintain security and order in the neighborhood.
The Head of the Carstensz-2026 Peace Operation, Inspector General of Police Dr. Faizal Ramadhani, S.Sos., S.I.K., M.H., stated that the dialogic patrols are part of the National Police’s strategy, which prioritizes a humanistic approach to maintaining security and stability in Papua.
According to him, the presence of personnel among the community not only aims to create a sense of security but also to build good communication to strengthen public trust in the security forces.
“Dialogic patrols are a means of bringing personnel closer to the community while ensuring a secure situation. Through intensive communication, various information and community aspirations can be directly absorbed,” said the Head of the Cartenz Peace Operations.
Meanwhile, the Deputy Head of the Cartenz Peace Operations-2026, Senior Commissioner of Police Adarma Sinaga, S.I.K., M.Hum., emphasized that a persuasive and humanistic approach will continue to be prioritized in every task carried out in the Papua region.
He said that synergy between security forces and the community is a crucial factor in creating a safe and conducive situation.
“Community participation is essential to maintaining public order and security. Therefore, we continue to build rapport through various activities that directly impact community life,” he said.
Based on field monitoring, the security situation in Sinak District during the patrols was observed to be safe and conducive. Community activities proceeded normally, and the presence of Carstensz Peace Task Force personnel received a positive response from local residents.
The Carstensz Peace Task Force ensured that dialogue patrols would continue as part of efforts to maintain security stability and support the creation of a safe and peaceful atmosphere in Central Papua.
