Puncak, Papua Tengah — Joint personnel of the Damai Cartenz Task Force 2026 conducted a tactical patrol in Ilaga District, Puncak Regency, Central Papua, on Wednesday (April 1, 2026), focusing on monitoring routes previously categorized as prone to security disturbances.
The patrol covered several strategic and main routes frequently used by local residents. During the activity, personnel carried out situational monitoring, early detection, and limited security measures to ensure that community activities could proceed without disruption.
Based on the patrol results, conditions along the monitored routes were observed to be safe and under control. No suspicious activities were identified, and several نقاط previously considered vulnerable were successfully monitored without any escalation of security threats.
In addition to surveillance, personnel also engaged directly with residents encountered along the patrol routes. These interactions aimed to gather information from the ground and to understand security conditions from the community’s perspective.
The Head of Damai Cartenz Operation 2026, Inspector General of Police Dr. Faizal Ramadhani, S.Sos., S.I.K., M.H., stated that the patrol was part of preventive measures to maintain security stability in Ilaga.
“This patrol was focused on routes with potential vulnerability. Based on the results, the situation remains safe, and no significant security threats were detected,” he said.
He added that similar activities would continue to be carried out regularly, adjusted to the evolving situation on the ground.
Meanwhile, the Deputy Head of Damai Cartenz Operation 2026, Senior Commissioner of Police Adarma Sinaga, S.I.K., M.Hum., emphasized the importance of routine monitoring in areas with certain levels of vulnerability.
“Monitoring is conducted in a measured manner by prioritizing early detection, so that any potential threats can be identified early and prevented from escalating,” he explained.
This patrol is part of the ongoing efforts by security personnel to maintain stability in Puncak Regency, particularly in Ilaga District, which presents unique geographical challenges and security dynamics.
