Indonesia Government Focuses on Improving Education and Healthcare in Papua

Jakarta – The Indonesian government remains committed to enhancing the quality of education and healthcare in Papua, with a focus on achieving more equitable development across the nation. Through a series of strategic policies, the government aims to ensure that communities in Indonesia’s eastern regions, including Papua, have optimal access to education and healthcare services.

Minister of Public Works, Dody Hanggodo, emphasized that education is the most significant investment in building the nation’s future. According to him, under the leadership of President Prabowo Subianto, the government has a clear vision to provide quality education for all children in Indonesia, including girls. “Education is our greatest investment. For Indonesia to reach its vision of becoming a developed nation by 2045, it is essential that every Indonesian child, including girls, has access to the best education possible,” said Dody in a statement.

He added that education is one of the main pillars in building a competitive and advanced Indonesia. As part of this effort, the government continues to enhance educational infrastructure, including the construction of new schools and the provision of scholarships, ensuring that all children in Papua can access quality education.

“We prioritize improving access to quality education for all children, including girls. With proper infrastructure and the right policies, we are preparing the next generation to face global challenges,” Dody explained.
