Jayapura- Chairman of the National Papuan Indigenous Youth Leadership Council, Christian Arebo, invited the people in Jayapura City and Papua in general, to reject the call for a demonstration to be held by the KNPB on 15 August.
“These calls are very contrary to our country, and also contrary to the principles of the Republic of Indonesia,” said Arebo.
Arebo also appealed to the people of Jayapura City to create a good, safe and comfortable situation, avoiding invitations or calls that could trigger people to do things that are contrary to the law.
“Let’s protect the land of Papua, especially Jayapura City, so that it remains safe and peaceful so that people can carry out activities safely and peacefully,” he explained.
Arebo emphasized that any invitation that could disrupt Kamtibmas, let’s reject it together to maintain calm in the Land of Papua.
On that occasion, Arebo also asked traditional leaders and religious leaders to also speak out to reject the invitation or call from the KNPB to invite the community to hold a demonstration on August 15.
