Timika- Head of the Cartenz-2024 Peace Ops Public Relations Task Force, Police Commissioner. Dr. Bayu Suseno., S.H., S.I.K., M.M., M.H., delivered a message to children throughout Indonesia to coincide with National Children’s Day which is celebrated every 23 July.

In his statement on Tuesday 23 July 2024 in Timika, Central Papua, Police Commissioner. Dr. Bayu Suseno., stated that National Children’s Day is an important momentum to reflect on the condition of children in the country and to prepare future generations for a Golden Indonesia in 2045.

“In my eyes, National Children’s Day is a good momentum to reflect on the current condition of the nation’s children. Next, immediately do your best to prepare the nation’s future generation towards a Golden Indonesia in 2045,” said Police Commissioner. Dr. Bayu Suseno.

Police Commissioner. Dr. Bayu Suseno., hopes that all children in Indonesia can make their country proud with positive things. He advised the current young generation not to be easily divided by the propaganda of other nations.

Bayu also asked young people to be brave, not afraid to fail, and dare to take risks, because this country needs children who always try until they succeed.

“My hope is for all the nation’s children throughout the archipelago, let’s fill this independence with positive things, don’t be naughty, stay away from drugs, don’t be easily divided by other nations and make achievements according to their respective fields to make Indonesia proud in the eyes of the world,” explained Police Commissioner. Dr. Bayu Suseno.

For your information, National Children’s Day is celebrated by the Indonesian people as a form of concern and participation in fulfilling children’s rights. The date for commemoration of Indonesian National Children’s Day was determined based on the ratification of the Law on Child Welfare on July 23 1979.

National Children’s Day in Indonesia was established during the leadership period of the 2nd President, Soeharto, on July 23 1979 with the view that children are assets for the nation’s progress so their existence needs to be commemorated.

The commemoration of National Children’s Day is determined in accordance with Presidential Decree No. 44 of 1984. Based on this decision, National Children’s Day is celebrated every 23 July and since then, Indonesia has celebrated National Children’s Day every year on 23 July.

The theme of the 40th National Children’s Day 2024 is “Protected Children, Advanced Indonesia”. This theme invites adults to protect the nation’s next generation with the aim of creating a bright future for the country.
