Puncak – With the viral video circulating on social media, namely Tiktok with the AmyLec WnD Official account and YouTube with the Info Lurr account related to KKB members arrested by the TNI who were actually released by the police, especially the Puncak Jaya Police, it is important to know that this video is a hoax and is not true.

This was stated directly by the Puncak Jaya Police Chief, AKBP Kuswara when confirmed regarding the veracity of the video, Sunday (7/4/2024) as reported on the tribun-papua.com page.

AKBP Kuswara said that the video that is currently viral both on Tiktok and on YouTube regarding KKB members being arrested by the TNI and actually being released by the police is not true.

These elements only want to bring down the National Police institution, especially the Puncak Jaya Police and want to divide the TNI-Polri synergy which is currently well established in Puncak Jaya Regency.

Furthermore, AKBP Kuswara has never had any KKB members arrested in the jurisdiction of Puncak Jaya Regency.

“The synergy between the TNI-POLRI in the Puncak Jaya jurisdiction is very harmonious and very good, where almost every day we carry out activities together, such as carrying out joint patrols or joint sports, this proves that up to now we are fine,” said the Police Chief to the Tribune. -Papua.com.

He continued, it is also important to note that currently the TNI-Polri have formed a cyber team to carry out tracking or investigations regarding who owns the account.

Later, if we find out who the person who distributed the video is, we will charge them under Law Number 11 of 2008 concerning Electronic Information and Transactions (ITE) with a prison sentence of 6 years and a maximum fine of IDR 1 billion.

“We also hope that the whole community will be wiser in using social media, first filter all the information we get and find out the truth so that we are not easily provoked by hoax news that is not necessarily true,” concluded AKBP Kuswara.
