Papua – In carrying out the main duties of the Police in the Land of Papua, they must take strategic and innovative steps. This was appreciated by one of the traditional leaders, Yanto Eluay, for the Police in the Papua Region because they were able to work to maintain security by prioritizing an approach to the community.
This traditional figure said that the National Police was taking the right steps in maintaining security in Papua. Apart from that, he also revealed that the National Police members who worked very well in the field were no exception to the direction and command of their regional leadership (Kapolda Papua).
The social and cultural approach in maintaining security and enforcing the law in Papua is quite effective for the Papuan people.
“Yes, in terms of security approaches, especially in terms of culture, traditional customs in Papua are also very good and quite optimal,” he said.
As a traditional figure, he hopes that the National Police’s strategy in carrying out its duties in the Land of Papua can continue to be carried out. “I hope that whoever is the leader of the Papua Regional Police can do the same thing as the previous Regional Police Chief did,” he explained.
Furthermore, “Whoever he is, I think the Regional Police Chief in charge of Papua should not compromise with movements that are against this country,” he said.
