Jayapura- The Peace Ops Task Force Caetenz-2024 Successfully Arrested a KKB member, EPSON NIRIGI who acted as a supplier of ammunition and firearms to the KKB Kodap III Ndugama group, Leader Egianus Kogoya in Mimika Regency, Central Papua on Tuesday 20 February 2024, precisely at the Lavela Hotel In, Mimika.
Head of Public Relations Task Force for Cartenz-2024 Peace Operations, AKBP. Dr. Bayu Suseno, SH, SIK, MM, MH., explained that KKB member, EPSON NIRIGI, before being arrested by the Cartenz-2024 Peace Ops Task Force for the Mimika area, had been involved in a number of criminal acts until the publication of the Police Report and DPO from the Nduga Police.
“We should all be aware that KKB member EPSON NIRIGI has a criminal record for his involvement in previous cases such as participating in supplying ammunition and firearms to the Egianus Kogoya group of KKB,” explained AKBP. Dr. Bayu Suseno.
AKBP continued. Dr. Bayu Suseno, the involvement of KKB member, EPSON NIRIGI in previous cases as is known from the testimony of MUSIANUS MIJILE who is the head of Kenyam district, Nduga district and YOMSE LOKBERE, KKB commander of Matoa Post, that, EPSON NIRIGI was once contacted by the head of Kenyam district to be given money amounting to 30 million as costs to find ammunition for Egianus Kogoya.
Furthermore, EPSON NIRIGI’s meeting with the Head of Kenyam District MUSIANUS MIJILE took place in 2021 and from that meeting, the Head of Kenyam District MUSIANUS MIJILE handed over 30 million to EPSON NIRIGI.
“For MUSIANUS MIJELE, the head of Kenyam district, he was arrested on April 30 2023 and YOMSE LOKBERE was arrested on April 6 2023.” AKBP concluded. Dr. Bayu Suseno.
The evidence that has been secured by officers from the hands of MUSIANUS MIJELE and YOMSE LOKBERE is, 1 (one) long-barreled firearm, 1 (one) launcher firearm, 1 (one) pistol, 10 (ten) CAL magazines 5.56, 1 (one) Cal 7.62 magazine, 3 (three) pistol magazines, 311 (three hundred and eleven) rounds of live ammunition Cal 5.56 mm, 34 (thirty four) rounds of live ammunition Cal 7.62 x 39 mm, 4 (four) ) rounds of sharp ammunition cal 3.2 auto mml, 17 (seventeen) rounds of sharp ammunition cal 38 spc mm, 13 (thirteen) rounds of sharp ammunition al 7.62 x 33 mm, 8 (eight) rounds of sharp ammunition cal 7.62 x 45 mm, 17 (seventeen) rounds of sharp ammunition cal 9 mm, 8 (eight) rounds of hollow ammunition cal 5.56, 3 (three) long binoculars, 1 (one) short binoculars and 1 (one) day binoculars (two eye).
Please note that, MUSIANUS MIJELE is currently serving a sentence with a prison sentence of 2 years, on January 23 2023 and YOMSE LOKBERE is currently serving a sentence with a prison sentence of 3 years and 8 months on October 31 2023.
