Jayapura- Joint forces of the TNI-Polri managed to shoot 3 members of the KKB (Armed Criminal Group) in Intan Jaya Regency, Central Papua on Sunday, January 21, 2024, who were involved in the attack on the Security Apparatus Post. (Monday/22/01/2024)
The 3 KKB members who were shot by the joint TNI-Polri apparatus were part of the Yoswa Maisani group, which is a group led by Guspi Waker.
According to Kombes Pol Dr. Faizal Ramadhani, Kaops Damai Cartenz-2024, Yoswa Maisani is the field commander who leads the group, and this group is known to carry out actions that have caused casualties among security forces and civilians.
Head of the Cartenz-2024 Peace Ops Public Relations Task Force, AKBP Dr. Bayu Suseno, explained that information related to KKB who was shot was obtained from informants in Yoswa Maisani’s group that there were 3 KKB members who were shot by TNI Polri officers.
“Yes, that’s right, our informant gave us news that there were 3 KKB who were shot, some were hit in the chest and legs. The following are the identities of KKB namely Oni Kobagau, Jaringan Belau, and Agustia have been shot by joint TNI-Polri forces,” said Bayu.
Furthermore, the Head of the Public Relations Task Force said that during the KKB attack on the TNI and Police Post in Sugapa Intan Jaya, a civilian named Yusak Sondegau was also a victim and died due to KKB shots. In addition, a security member by the name of Posthumous Briptu Alfando Steve Karamoy also died as a result of KKB shots.
