Police Chief Invites Residents to Support Security and Security Officers in Their respective Neighborhoods After the Fire in Abepura

Jayapura City Police,- Jayapura City Police personnel are continuing to make efforts to prevent fire hotspots from spreading by collaborating in the field in synergy with the TNI and the Government to carry out joint patrols in every area of Jayapura City following the fire incident that occurred at 4 points around Youtefa Abepura Market, Sunday (7/1) morning.

This tone was uttered by the Jayapura City Police Chief, Commissioner Pol. Dr. Victor D. Mackbon, S.E., S.H., M.M., M.H when met in Abepura, Sunday (7/1) afternoon.

The Police Chief said that apart from extinguishing the fire and carrying out an investigation into the fire incident that occurred around Youtefa Market, Abepura this morning, his party was also carrying out preventive measures within his ranks by carrying out joint patrols.

“Apart from that, we have also built communication in coordination with community leaders so that we can support the authorities by urging residents to remain calm and carry out environmental security or Siskamling in their respective environments in the hope of preventing parties who try to create disturbances. said the Police Chief.

The Chief of Police further said, facing the current situation, the public is expected to remain calm and not panic easily and not be easily influenced or provoked by untrue issues (Hoax News).

“Be wise in receiving information. If in doubt, please confirm it with the police, TNI or government so that the community remains calm and peaceful. Apart from that, we also hope for the support of all elements of society by protecting their respective environments.
