Timika- TNI-Polri security forces who are members of the Cartenz 2023 Peace Task Force together with the Papua Regional Police are strengthening security in nine Operational Areas ahead of the OPM Anniversary 1 December 2023.
Head of Cartenz Peace Public Relations Task Force 2023 AKBP Dr. Bayu Suseno S.H, S.I.K, M.M, M.H revealed that his party was intensively carrying out early detection and intensive patrols in the nine Cartenz Peace Operation Areas.
“We carried out early detection and intensive patrols. This has been going on for a week to anticipate security disturbances in the nine Damai Cartenz operational areas,” said Bayu.
A similar thing was conveyed by the Head of Public Relations of the Papua Regional Police, Police Commissioner Ignatius Beny, that joint TNI-Polri officers were alerted at 13 security points ahead of the OPM anniversary on December 1.
“Joint TNI and Polri officers continue to monitor KKB movements in 13 points/districts, by increasing security patrols and law enforcement for groups that often carry out acts of terror and shootings against security forces and local residents,” said Beny, Thursday (30/11/2023 ).
“We (the Cartenz Peace Task Force) are focusing on nine operational areas that are our concern, while other areas are being intensified by Papuan Police personnel,” said Bayu
Until now, the security and social security situation in the nine Cartenz Damai operational areas is relatively conducive.
“Until now the situation is relatively conducive,” explained Bayu
“We hope that the community will not be influenced by provocation issues or appeals from the KKB and will continue to maintain security and social order in their respective regions,” concluded Bayu
