Oksibil – The security situation in Oksibil, Bintang Mountains after the attack and burning of kiosks by the Ananias Ati Mimin KKB group on Monday, September 18, 2023, has gradually recovered and can be controlled by security forces. Head of the Cartenz Peace Operation Public Relations Task Force Akbp Dr. Bayu Suseno explained that currently a number of troops have been sent to strengthen Oksibil, Pegunungan Bintang Regency.
“We have added joint TNI Police troops to strengthen troops in Oksibil, currently we are still pursuing and enforcing the law against KKB group Ananias Ati Mimin in the Bintang Mountains region,” said Bayu.
It should be noted that the Cartenz 2023 Peace Task Force has been conducting pursuit and security operations in Oksibil for 3 days and on Wednesday, September 21, 2023 the troops succeeded in paralyzing a number of KKB who would shoot civilian aircraft passing by.
“Our sniper team managed to shoot dead one of the KKB, which we shot from a distance of 800 meters when they were shooting at planes passing at the height of Oksibil. It can be seen from our binoculars that several KKB were injured by shots from our Sniper Team,” explained Bayu.
Unfortunately, the bodies of the victims and the weapons of the KKB members were taken away by their friends into the forest when the Cartenz Peace Task Force troops were pursuing and sweeping.
This is reinforced by information from a trusted source on Wednesday, September 21, 2023 at around 16.00 WIT who informed that it was true that one of the KKB members of the Ananias Ati Mimin group was hit by a shot from the security forces sniper team. A trusted source said that the KKB member was shot in the hand and chest through to the back and his condition was seriously injured. “The name of the soldier who was shot by the authorities was ricky sasaka, the latest information is dead. This is the information we obtained from our sources in the field,” explained Bayu.
Kaops Damai Cartenz KBP Dr. Faizal Ramadhani S.Sos, S.I.K, M.H explained that the pursuit and law enforcement operations against KKB group Ananias Ati Mimin in Bintang Mountains will be carried out intensively and continuously.
“We have identified their pockets. Hopefully in the near future we can comb them. The Cartenz Peace Operation Task Force continues to carry out joint operations to capture and enforce the law against the KKB and their sympathizers,” concluded Faizal.
