Jayapura – Joint TNI-Polri officers and the Cartenz Peace Task Force 2023 have now evacuated the body of social activist Michelle Kurisi Ndoga, a victim of persecution which resulted in loss of life perpetrated by the Armed Criminal Group (KKB).
Head of Public Relations of the Papua Regional Police, Commissioner Pol. Ignatius Benny Ady Prabowo, S.H., S.I.K., M.Kom., confirmed the discovery of the body.
The Head of Public Relations said that the victim’s body had been found and a TKP investigation had been carried out by the Police in the Kolawa District, Lanny Jaya Regency, Papua Mountains, Thursday (31/8/2023) at around 12.52 WIT.
“Currently the body is at the Wamena Regional Hospital for an autopsy to be carried out,” said the Head of Public Relations, Thursday (31/8/2023).
As previously reported, videos and information related to KKB’s claim that the KKB had killed a female activist named Michelle Kurisi Ndoga in the Kimbim District, Jayawijaya Regency, Papua Mountains, went viral on social media.
Kombes Benny said he deeply regretted the heinous act that was carried out by the KKB because what was done was inhumane, especially when it was committed against a woman from Papua.
“The Papuan Police will reveal the perpetrators and we ask all parties to hand over this case to the Police who will work professionally to uncover this case,” said Kombes Benny.
“This case is still in the process of being investigated and investigated to seek witness information,” he added.
