Jayapura – The joint TNI-Polri team succeeded in taking control of the Headquarters of the Numbuk Telenggen Armed Criminal Group (KKB) in the Gome District, Kab. Puncak, Central Papua, Wednesday (16/8).
Papua Police Chief Inspector General Pol. Mathius Fahiri in Jayapura confirmed reports that the TNI/Polri controlled the KKB headquarters in Gome, Puncak Regency.
“It is true that currently the KKB headquarters in Gome is controlled by the TNI/Polri and various pieces of evidence have been secured from the crime scene (TKP),” said the Papuan police chief.
Based on reports received, the KKB headquarters in Gome was controlled by the TNI/Polri starting with the shooting by KKB led by Numbuk Telenggen, Tuesday (15/8/2023), from the direction of Grumbul hill to the YR 300/Bjw mobile task force group who were going to Gome to attend an event stone burn.
After receiving reports about the shooting, the joint security forces from Ilaga joined forces and gave chase.
Apart from Gome, said the Inspector General of Police. Mathius Fahiri, KKB also set fire to the tower which is next to SMP 1 Ilaga.

The evidence secured included seven cellphones of various brands, cameras and sharp weapons.
