Jayapura – The Papua Police Narcotics Research Directorate has succeeded in securing two perpetrators of cannabis drug abuse, namely CH (35) and FK (34), one of whom is a PNG citizen.
This was confirmed by the Head of Public Relations of the Papua Regional Police Kombes Pol. Ignatius Benny Ady Prabowo, S.H., S.I.K., M.Kom when met in his room, Friday (17/2).
The Head of Public Relations said that the two perpetrators were arrested in two different places, namely CH (35) was arrested on Jalan Abe Tanah Hitam Abepura Circle while FK (34) was found on Jalan Pasar Baru, Jayapura Regency.
“The arrest of the two perpetrators was known from reports from the public so quickly members of the Opsnal Subdit 3 of the Papua Police Narcotics Agency conducted an investigation to secure the perpetrators,” he explained.
Papua Police Narcotics Director Kombes Pol. Alfian S.I.K., M.Si when questioned revealed that after his party carried out observations and investigations on Thursday (16/2), it was discovered that the perpetrator reported by the community had the initials CH (35) so an arrest was made at 14.30 WIT before the person concerned do cannabis transactions.
“After being secured and interrogated, the perpetrator revealed that he found the narcotics from his friend, namely FK (34) who was on Jalan Pasar Baru, Jayapura Regency, so without waiting long we conducted further investigations against the perpetrators of the FK,” he said.
He continued, after the investigation was developed towards Jayapura Regency, members who had previously conducted an investigation knew that FK (34) was in a boarding house and then personnel carried out a raid and arrested the second perpetrator.
“After searching the two perpetrators, we secured evidence in the form of 8 (eight) large clear plastic packages containing cannabis narcotics, 8 (eight) 10 kg sacks of the Root Rice brand containing cannabis narcotics,” he explained.
Not only that, from the boarding house occupied by FK (34) they also found 1 (one) SS-1 rifle magazine, 85 (eighty-five) blank bullets, 6 (six) Moser-type bullets, 11 (eleven) bullets ) rounds of sharp bullets measuring 5-56 mm and 1 (one) bracelet with the image of the Morning Star.
“The two perpetrators and evidence have now been secured by the Drug Investigation Directorate for further processing. Regarding the ownership of the ammunition owned by the perpetrators, the origin will also be investigated as well as the intent and purpose of having the ammunition,” said Kombes Pol. Alfian.
