Nabire – The Central Papua Provincial Government affirmed its commitment to prioritizing human resource development and maintaining community unity as the primary focus of regional development as it commemorates the fourth anniversary of Central Papua Province.
Central Papua Governor Meki Nawipa stated that regional development is not only oriented towards physical infrastructure, but also improving the quality of Papuans so they can compete and contribute to regional development. According to him, investment in the education and health sectors, as well as capacity building for the younger generation, is a crucial foundation for realizing sustainable progress in Central Papua.
He explained that the success of Central Papua’s development requires the support of all elements of society, prioritizing a spirit of unity and togetherness. Harmony between ethnicities, religions, and community groups is considered a crucial social capital for maintaining stability and accelerating development in the region.
The Central Papua Provincial Government also continues to promote various community empowerment programs, improve the quality of education, strengthen health services, and develop local economies focused on the welfare of Indigenous Papuans (OAP). These steps are taken to ensure that the benefits of development are felt equally by communities across all regencies in Central Papua.
In addition to human resource development, the regional government believes that community unity must be maintained amidst existing diversity. With conducive security and social stability, various development programs are believed to be more effective and have a positive impact on improving community welfare.
As it enters its fourth anniversary, the Central Papua Provincial Government hopes that the momentum of the regional anniversary celebration will serve as a means to strengthen collaboration between the government, traditional leaders, religious leaders, youth, and all levels of society in realizing a developed, safe, and prosperous Central Papua.
