MIMIKA — The Chief of Operation Damai Cartenz 2026, Brigadier General of Police Dr. Faizal Ramadhani, S.Sos., S.I.K., M.H., emphasized that social activities and health services are an essential part of efforts to realize sustainable peace in the Land of Papua.
“Operation Damai Cartenz 2026 is not solely focused on security aspects, but also prioritizes humanitarian approaches. Peace will grow when communities truly feel the presence of the state—serving sincerely, respecting religious values, and responding to the basic needs of the people,” said Brig. Gen. Faizal Ramadhani.
He added that service activities carried out at places of worship symbolize the commitment of the Indonesian National Police (Polri) to maintaining social harmony and strengthening unity amid the diversity of Papuan society.
In line with this commitment, the Task Force of Operation Damai Cartenz 2026 conducted social service activities and health services for the Ottow Geissler Congregation of the Evangelical Christian Church (GKI) of the Mimika Classis on Sunday, January 25, 2026. The activity took place at the GKI Mimika Classis Church, Mile 32, starting at 10:00 a.m. Eastern Indonesia Time (WIT) and continued until completion. The event proceeded safely, orderly, and in a warm atmosphere.
During the activity, personnel of Operation Damai Cartenz 2026 provided medical check-ups, health consultations, and other humanitarian services as a tangible expression of Polri’s concern for the health and well-being of the community, particularly church congregants.
The presence of security personnel with a humanistic approach was warmly welcomed by the congregation and local community leaders. A church leader of GKI Mimika Classis, Reverend Samuel Yoman, expressed his appreciation for the care and attention shown.
“We see the officers present in a very humane and compassionate manner. These health services are extremely helpful for our congregation, especially for those with limited access to healthcare. Operation Damai Cartenz truly brings a message of peace and care to the community,” said Rev. Samuel Yoman.
Throughout the activity, the situation remained safe, orderly, and conducive. This social service and health outreach program reflects the ongoing commitment of Operation Damai Cartenz 2026 to building public trust, strengthening relations with the community, and ensuring that Papua remains safe, peaceful, and prosperous through a humanistic approach grounded in humanitarian values.
