SINAK, Papua, Indonesia — Personnel of Task Force Operation Peace Cartenz 2026 provided free health services to residents of Sinak District, Puncak Regency, Central Papua, on Tuesday (January 21, 2026). The activity forms part of the Indonesian National Police’s humane approach to supporting security while improving community welfare in Papua’s remote regions.
Members of the Brimob Corps assigned to Task Force Operation Peace Cartenz 2026 engaged directly with local communities, bringing basic medical equipment to residential areas. They conducted health check-ups, distributed medicines, and delivered basic health education. Children, adults, and elderly residents responded positively and comfortably to the services, which were delivered in a friendly and empathetic manner.
The health services were carried out alongside dialog-based public security patrols. During these patrols, personnel greeted residents and engaged in informal conversations to listen to local conditions and community needs. This approach allowed the presence of police officers to be perceived not only as security providers, but also as partners who care about the daily lives of residents.
The Head of Operation Peace Cartenz 2026, Brigadier General of Police Dr. Faizal Ramadhani, S.Sos., S.I.K., M.H., emphasized that services addressing the direct needs of the community are an essential element in building lasting peace in Papua.
“Task Force Operation Peace Cartenz 2026 is not only tasked with maintaining security, but also with fostering a sense of peace through services that directly respond to community needs. When police officers are present with sincerity—serving and listening—that is where peace begins to grow,” Brigadier General Faizal Ramadhani said.
Positive responses were also expressed by a local community leader in Sinak District, Yulius Murib, who noted that the health services provided by police personnel brought a sense of calm and hope to residents.
“The police came in a respectful way. They checked our health and spoke with us. We feel cared for and not alone,” Murib said.
Throughout the activities, security conditions in Sinak District remained safe and conducive. The free health services combined with dialog-based patrols reflect the commitment of Task Force Operation Peace Cartenz 2026 to promoting security and peace in Papua through a humane and community-centered approach.
