Pegunungan Bintang – To strengthen the bond between security forces and the community, the Damai Cartenz Task Force organized a communal meal with residents of Kiwirok District, Pegunungan Bintang Regency, Highland Papua, on Saturday (September 6, 2025).
The event, led directly by Task Force Tindak personnel, Ipda Munawar and Ipda Pande Made Rama, S.Tr.K., took place warmly and with a sense of togetherness. This activity served as a tangible example of the security forces’ persuasive approach in Papua, creating simple yet meaningful moments of unity.
Residents were enthusiastic in joining the activity. Not only adults, but also children participated, enjoying the meals and the welcoming atmosphere. The cheerful laughter of children, the smiles of mothers, and the jokes of fathers created a scene that reflected new hope for peace and harmony.
The Head of Damai Cartenz Operations, Brigadier General of Police Dr. Faizal Ramadhani, S.Sos., S.I.K., M.H., emphasized the importance of such activities as part of social engagement that fosters mutual trust between residents and security forces.
“Activities like this are very important to maintain good relations between residents and security personnel. This is a persuasive yet simple approach that brings smiles and comfort to the community,” said Brig. Gen. Faizal Ramadhani in his statement.
Meanwhile, the Deputy Head of Damai Cartenz Operations, Police Commissioner Adarma Sinaga, S.I.K., M.Hum., also stressed the importance of a humanist approach in every step and activity carried out by the task force.
“We emphasize the importance of humanitarian approaches in all activities of the Damai Cartenz Task Force. Security forces are not only present to maintain regional stability but also to share compassion and care, especially with the people of Papua,” explained Commissioner Adarma Sinaga.
The Damai Cartenz Task Force is committed to continuing to hold social and community-oriented activities as part of a non-violent strategy to achieve sustainable security and peace in Papua.
Through activities like this, it is hoped that strong trust will be built between the community and security forces, as well as the creation of a harmonious atmosphere amidst existing challenges.
