Jayapura, August 14, 2025 — In a move to strengthen strategic communication and build sustainable partnerships, the Cartenz Peace Operation Task Force held a gathering with dozens of journalists from local and national media outlets in Jayapura. The meeting, conducted in a warm and friendly atmosphere, served as a key moment to enhance collaboration between security forces and the press.
Head of the Cartenz Peace Operation, Police Brigadier General Dr. Faizal Ramadhani, S.Sos., S.I.K., M.H., accompanied by Deputy Chief of Operations, Police Commissioner Adarma Sinaga, S.I.K., M.Hum., emphasized the media’s strategic role in maintaining reliable information and strengthening public trust in law enforcement and security efforts.
“The media is our strategic partner. Accurate and trustworthy information helps maintain a stable situation and builds public confidence,” Brig. Gen. Faizal said in his remarks.
During the open discussion session, several journalists expressed their hope for stronger communication with the task force, including timely access to field information and official clarifications. In response, Chief of the Public Relations Division, Police Commissioner Yusuf Sutejo, S.I.K., M.T., reaffirmed the task force’s commitment to transparency and mutual support.
“Through this meeting, we aim to establish stronger synergy with journalists to deliver accurate information to the public,” Commissioner Yusuf stated.
The gathering is also part of the task force’s communication strategy in addressing social and security dynamics in Papua, particularly ahead of the upcoming election stages and increased community activities. With closer collaboration between the Cartenz Peace Operation Task Force and the media, it is expected that narratives of peace and constructive engagement will continue to resonate, countering stigma and misinformation.
