WAMENA (ANTARA) – The Papua Pegunungan provincial government has urged its civil servants (ASN) to take full advantage of the long holiday for the celebration of Nyepi and Eid al-Fitr. This hope was expressed by the Acting Regional Secretary (Sekda) of Papua Pegunungan Province, Wasuok D. Siep, who emphasized the importance of mental and physical preparation before returning to work.
“We hope that ASN can make good use of this holiday. When they return to work, we expect their performance to improve,” Siep said in a phone interview from Wamena on Tuesday.
According to information provided by the Papua Pegunungan provincial government, the Lebaran holiday for ASN will last until April 7, 2025. The holiday starts from March 28, 2025, coinciding with the Nyepi celebration, and ASN are required to be back to work on April 8, 2025.
He reminded ASN not to extend their holiday beyond the designated period. “We ask ASN to pay attention to this holiday schedule and not to add any extra leave, as it will affect the work programs that have been planned,” he stressed.
After the Eid al-Fitr holiday of 1446 Hijri, ASN will return to their duties as usual, followed by the Easter holiday in 2025. Siep also expressed optimism that the adjustments in land prices could positively contribute to the increase in Local Revenue (PAD).
