YALIMO – A joyful atmosphere filled Yalimo, Highland Papua, on Friday (1/3/2025), as members of the Cartenz Peace Task Force carried out a humanitarian initiative by sharing happiness and food with local children. This event served as a symbol of the growing peace in the region.
During this meaningful moment, the Cartenz Peace Task Force personnel mingled with Yalimo’s children, inviting them to play, laugh, and enjoy meals together. The children’s laughter and bright smiles reflected the increasing sense of security and tranquility felt by the community.
The Head of the Public Relations Task Force for Operation Cartenz Peace, Police Grand Commissioner Yusuf Sutejo, S.I.K., M.T., stated that this initiative was part of an effort to strengthen the bond between security forces and the community, particularly the younger generation in Yalimo.
“We want to show that peace is not just about physical security but also about the comfort and happiness felt by the community, especially children. This activity symbolizes the presence of peace in Yalimo,” he said.
The Cartenz Peace Task Force remains committed to fostering a safe and stable environment in Highland Papua, not only through security measures but also by engaging in social activities that build emotional connections with residents.
