Yalimo, Papua – To strengthen relations with the community and maintain security stability, the Satgas Ops Damai Cartenz actively engages in communication and public safety education across various regions of Papua. One of its latest initiatives took place in Hobakma Village, Elelim District, Yalimo Regency, on February 5, 2025.
During the activity, Ops Damai Cartenz personnel, AKP Safri, advised residents on the importance of maintaining security and public order together. He emphasized that security is not solely the responsibility of law enforcement but a shared duty of the entire community.
“We aim to build trust with the community through open dialogue and close collaboration. The stronger the synergy between security personnel and residents, the more conducive the security situation in this region will be,” said AKP Safri.
Meanwhile, Deputy Commander of Ops Damai Cartenz, Police Commissioner Adarma Sinaga, S.I.K., M.Hum., reaffirmed that this persuasive approach is part of a broader strategy to ensure a safe and peaceful Papua.
“Through effective communication, we hope to strengthen the community’s sense of security and prevent potential public safety disturbances early on,” he stated.
