The Papuan Dorman Wandikbo community expressed their support for various police programs aimed at maintaining public security and order (kamtibmas) in the region. This support is seen through the active involvement of residents in a number of activities initiated by the police, such as security patrols, conflict hazard education, to early reporting of potential security disturbances.
“As a community, I am also very grateful for the support of the Papuan people towards the existing programs for the sake of Papua Damai. The cooperation between the Police and the local community proves that security is a shared responsibility,” said Dorman Wandikbo.
Through a dialogic and humanist approach, the police continue to build close relationships with residents to create a safe and harmonious environment.
Dorman Wandikbo also expressed his gratitude for the police program whose benefits were directly felt. “We feel safer because the police often come to provide socialization and help solve problems in our environment. This makes us confident to support them,” he said.
The police also continue to appeal to the public to play an active role, such as reporting suspicious activities and participating in maintaining peace in their respective neighborhoods. With this spirit of togetherness, it is hoped that Papua can become a safe, peaceful, and tolerant area.
