Papua- Agus Rawa Kogoya as a Community Figure in the Mountainous Region of Papua and especially in Tolikara Regency urges and invites all the people of Tolikara Regency who live in the Jayapura and Keerom Regency/City areas, to appreciate and support the progress of the 2024 Election stages while maintaining a peaceful, harmonious atmosphere and orderly.
“I ask the Papuan people, especially those from Tolikara, not to be provoked by information relating to developments in the 2024 Election stages in Papua, because we are currently entering the recapitulation stage of the provincial level vote count. So everyone must remain calm and refrain from taking actions that are detrimental to many people,” he said.
He said that, after the election took place, currently the provincial KPU was carrying out a process of recapitulating the vote count in stages, which of course required time and accuracy.
“Therefore, let us all hand over the phasing of the 2024 elections completely to the organizers, in this case the KPU and Bawaslu as well as the TNI and Polri security forces, so that the phasing of the elections can be carried out safely and smoothly so as to produce Papuan leaders who have the spirit of building and prospering society on his land,” he stressed.
When there are problems discovered or indications of fraud or violations, said Agus, the public must respond wisely, namely continuing to refer to the applicable regulations.
“Everything has mechanisms and rules, and please convey the matter later through the violation handling flow that has been prepared,” he said.
