Jayapura – Dogiyai Police personnel directly handled the fire case that burned down the Dogiyai Regency Public Works Office, as well as the Company Camp. This incident occurred on Sunday at around 22.00 WIT.
Commissioner of Police Ignatius Benny Ady Prabowo, S.H., S.I.K., M.Kom, Head of Papua Police Public Relations, confirmed this incident after receiving a direct report from the Dogiyai Police Chief, Kompol Sarraju, S.H., who directly led his members in the field.
“Until now, extinguishing efforts are still being carried out by members of the police and the community using makeshift equipment,” said the Head of Public Relations.
Meanwhile, the Chief of Police and members are still staying at the location of the fire to anticipate the possibility of unexpected things and maintain the safety of the community around the scene.
“After the situation is under control and the fire is extinguished, Dogiyai Police will conduct an evaluation to calculate the amount of losses caused by this fire,” he said.
In addition, the police will also conduct further investigations to reveal the exact cause of the fire that involved the Public Works Office and other facilities.
