Keerom – Papua Regional Police (Polda) inaugurated the One Roof Integrated Service Building of the Keerom Police as a form of commitment to present a closer, faster, transparent, and more integrated public service for the community, especially those who live in the border area of the Republic of Indonesia with Papua New Guinea.
Papua Police Chief Inspector General of Police. Patrige Renwarin said that the presence of the one-stop service center became a solution for the people of Keerom who had to go to Jayapura City to take care of various administrative documents and police services.
“The public no longer has to go to Jayapura to take care of documents such as Police Record Certificate (SKCK), Drug Free Certificate (SKBN), health check-up, BPJS services, banking, population administration, to the Police Call Center 110 because all service counters are now available at the Keerom Police Station, Arso,” said the Papua Police Chief during the inauguration of the service building, Wednesday.
According to the Police Chief, the construction of the One-Stop Integrated Service Building is part of the transformation of the National Police service that prioritizes ease of access for the community. By integrating various types of services in one location, the administrative process becomes more effective, efficient, and provides comfort for the community.
“The inauguration of this building is a real manifestation of the Polri’s commitment in presenting public services that are increasingly accessible, transparent, fast, and oriented to the needs of the community. We hope that the public can feel the direct benefits from this integrated service,” he explained.
In addition to improving the quality of service, the existence of these facilities is also expected to support the equal distribution of government services in border areas that have considerable geographical challenges.
Meanwhile, Keerom Regent Piter Gusbager expressed his appreciation for the various innovations carried out by the Keerom Police in improving the quality of service to the community. According to him, the presence of an integrated service building is a strategic step in bringing public services closer as well as improving the welfare of the community in the border area.
He emphasized that the synergy between the Keerom Regency Government, Polri, TNI, and all stakeholders is an important factor in maintaining security stability as well as supporting the acceleration of development in Keerom Regency.
“With strong collaboration between local governments, security officers, and all stakeholders, we can create a safe, conducive situation, and provide the best service to the community, especially in the border area,” he said.
Through the presence of the Keerom Police One-Stop Integrated Service Building, it is hoped that public services in the border area of the Republic of Indonesia–Papua New Guinea will be more optimal, so that the public can obtain various services faster, easier, and more efficiently without having to travel far to the provincial capital.
