Jayapura – Smiles and heartfelt gratitude were seen on the faces of santri and orphanage children as personnel from the Cartenz Peace Operation 2026 Task Force arrived with social assistance in Jayapura Regency, Papua, on Tuesday (March 10).

The presence of the officers at Al-Khoiriyah Islamic Boarding School in Sentani and Putri Karahiman Orphanage in Hawai was not merely to deliver basic food supplies, but also to bring warmth and compassion to the recipients. Various food staples such as rice, instant noodles, eggs, and other essential items were distributed to support the daily needs of the students and the children living at the orphanage.

The humanitarian activity was part of the social care program of the Cartenz Peace Operation 2026 Task Force, led by the Head of the Cartenz Peace Operation 2026, Brigadier General of Police Dr. Faizal Ramadhani, S.Sos., S.I.K., M.H. The activity on the ground was represented by the Head of Administration and Operations Management (Kaminops) of Cartenz Peace Operation 2026, Senior Commissioner of Police Hendrik Purwono. The activity began at around 2:30 PM WIT and took place in a warm and friendly atmosphere.

At the courtyard of the boarding school and the orphanage, simple interactions between the task force personnel and the children created a meaningful and heartfelt moment.

Light conversations, genuine smiles, and prayers offered by the children illustrated that the activity was not only about distributing aid but also about sharing care and togetherness.

Head of the Cartenz Peace Operation 2026, Brigadier General of Police Dr. Faizal Ramadhani, emphasized that social activities like this are part of the task force’s commitment to always be present among the community through a humanitarian approach.

“This social assistance activity reflects our concern for the community, especially for children in Islamic boarding schools and orphanages. We want to show that the presence of officers is not only focused on law enforcement and maintaining security stability, but also on bringing benefits and compassion to the community,” Brig. Gen. Faizal stated.

According to him, the presence of officers who are close to the community is expected to foster a sense of togetherness and strengthen the emotional connection between the state and the people.

Meanwhile, the Deputy Head of Cartenz Peace Operation 2026, Senior Commissioner of Police Adarma Sinaga, S.I.K., M.Hum., added that social activities are also an important way to build warmer communication between security personnel and the community.

“We hope activities like this can strengthen the relationship between officers and the community. The presence of the Cartenz Peace Operation Task Force in Papua is not only to maintain security, but also to provide care and support for communities in need,” said Commissioner Adarma.

He also encouraged the community to continue maintaining the spirit of unity and mutual support in order to create a safe and conducive situation in Papua.

Amid various ongoing challenges, moments of togetherness like this serve as a reminder that simple acts of compassion can bring hope and warmth to many people. For the santri and orphanage children, the visit brought not only assistance but also smiles, attention, and reassurance that they are not alone.
