Sugapa, Intan Jaya — Personnel of the Damai Cartenz Operation 2026 Task Force continue to intensify preventive measures to maintain security and public order in Sugapa District, Intan Jaya Regency, Central Papua. One of these efforts was carried out through a humanistic patrol conducted on Monday (9/3/2026).
The patrol, led by the Commander of Tower Belukar 4.1 Post of Damai Cartenz Operation 2026, Ipda Adri Ansyar Umar, S.M., covered several strategic locations in the Sugapa area. The activity aimed to ensure that the public security situation remains safe and conducive while providing a sense of calm for residents in carrying out their daily activities.
During the activity, personnel monitored security conditions at several key locations, including Bilorai Sugapa Airport, which serves as a vital route for community mobility and logistics distribution in the Intan Jaya region.
In addition to securing the area, personnel also emphasized a humanistic approach by engaging in direct dialogue with local residents. Officers took the opportunity to speak with community members who were carrying out the traditional “bakar batu” ceremony as part of a mourning event.
The interaction took place in a warm and friendly atmosphere. Security personnel and residents were seen sitting together and engaging in casual conversations, creating an environment that strengthened the sense of safety while fostering closer relations between the security forces and the community.
The patrol team also conducted a security check at Bank Papua Sugapa to ensure that public services could continue to operate safely and orderly.
Head of Damai Cartenz Operation 2026, Brigadier General of Police Dr. Faizal Ramadhani, S.Sos., S.I.K., M.H., stated that the humanistic patrol is part of preventive measures to maintain security stability in Papua, particularly in Intan Jaya Regency.
“This patrol aims to ensure that the situation remains safe and conducive while providing a sense of reassurance for the community in carrying out their activities,” he said.
Meanwhile, Deputy Head of Damai Cartenz Operation 2026, Police Commissioner Adarma Sinaga, S.I.K., M.Hum., added that a persuasive approach and direct communication with the community are key to creating a safe and peaceful environment.
Through the humanistic patrol, the Damai Cartenz Task Force hopes that security stability in Sugapa District and surrounding areas will remain well maintained, allowing the community to carry out their daily activities safely, comfortably, and peacefully.
