Sugapa, Intan Jaya — Personnel from the Cartenz 2026 Peace Operations Task Force conducted a dialogue patrol in Sugapa District, Intan Jaya Regency, Central Papua, on Monday (March 9, 2026), to ensure the security situation remains conducive and to establish direct communication with the community.
The patrol, led by the Commander of Tower Belukar 4.1 Post, Cartenz 2026 Peace Operations, First Inspector Adri Ansyar Umar, S.M., targeted several strategic points in the Sugapa area. One focus of security was Bilorai Sugapa Airport, which serves as a vital route for public mobility and logistics in the area.
In addition to monitoring security, personnel also engaged in a dialogue with local residents. During the patrol, officers took the time to chat with residents who were holding a stone-burning ceremony as part of a mourning ceremony.
The interaction was relaxed and cordial. Security forces and residents were seen sitting together, chatting, and exchanging stories. The presence of personnel among the community was warmly welcomed and provided a space for communication that strengthened mutual trust.
The patrol team also conducted security checks at Bank Papua Sugapa to ensure that public services continued to run safely.
The Head of Operation Peace Cartenz 2026, Brigadier General Pol. Dr. Faizal Ramadhani, S.Sos., S.I.K., M.H., emphasized that the dialogic patrols were a preventative measure to maintain security stability while strengthening relations between the authorities and the community.
“The dialogic patrols were conducted in a humane manner to ensure the situation remained secure while strengthening communication with the community in the Intan Jaya area,” he said.
Meanwhile, the Deputy Head of Operation Peace Cartenz 2026, Senior Commissioner Pol. Adarma Sinaga, S.I.K., M.Hum., added that a persuasive approach continues to be prioritized in all security operations in Papua.
According to him, direct interaction with the community is crucial in building a sense of security and public trust in the presence of officers in the field.
Through these dialogue patrols, the Cartenz Peace Operations Task Force hopes to maintain security stability in the Sugapa District and surrounding areas, allowing residents to carry out their daily activities safely and comfortably.
