INTAN JAYA – Amid the quiet mountains of Intan Jaya, the presence of personnel from Task Force Operasi Damai Cartenz 2026 has brought a sense of security and care to the local community. Through dialogical patrols that emphasize a humanitarian approach, officers not only ensure security stability but also address residents’ basic needs, particularly health services.

On Saturday morning (February 7, 2026), personnel of Task Force Operasi Damai Cartenz 2026 conducted a foot patrol in Sugapa District. The activity was led by Briptu KGS. Muhammad Ramadhan Doeng, Commander of Belukar Squad 4.0.1 ODC 2026, together with one squad of personnel. Prior to deployment, all personnel took part in a preparatory roll call at the Perpus Belukar Post.

The patrol covered the route from Pos Perpusa, Simpang Lima, Yokatapa Village, to Bajemba Village. Along the way, personnel actively greeted residents, engaged in direct dialogue, and monitored the public security and order situation in residential areas. This approach was aimed at ensuring that community activities could proceed safely and peacefully.

In addition to maintaining security, personnel also provided basic health services by checking residents’ health conditions, distributing medicines and vitamins, and giving special attention to children, mothers, and the elderly. The arrival of officers on foot, navigating the challenging mountainous terrain, was warmly welcomed by the local community.

This activity reflects the genuine concern of Task Force Damai Cartenz for the geographical challenges of Papua’s mountainous regions, where access to health services remains limited and distances to medical facilities are considerable. Through humanitarian patrols, security efforts and humanitarian services go hand in hand.

The Head of Operation Damai Cartenz 2026, Brigadier General of Police Dr. Faizal Ramadhani, emphasized that a humanitarian approach is a crucial element in maintaining security stability in Papua.

“We want the community to truly feel the presence of the state. Not only in maintaining security, but also in being there when people need help. Health services in villages are part of our commitment to keep Papua safe and its people healthy,” said Brig. Gen. Pol. Faizal Ramadhani.

Meanwhile, the Deputy Head of Operation Damai Cartenz 2026, Senior Commissioner of Police Adarma Sinaga, added that foot patrols are an effective means of building public trust.

“By conducting foot patrols, our personnel can interact directly with residents, listen to their aspirations, and observe real conditions on the ground. This approach strengthens the sense of security while demonstrating a humane police presence that is close to the community,” said Sr. Comr. Pol. Adarma Sinaga.

The impact of the activity was immediately felt by the residents of Sugapa. The community felt safer, received health assistance, and no longer needed to travel long distances to obtain basic services. Until the patrol concluded, the public security situation remained safe and conducive, while community activities continued as normal.

Through simple yet meaningful steps, Task Force Operasi Damai Cartenz 2026 continues to demonstrate that safeguarding Papua’s security also means nurturing public trust and hope, from one village to another.
