Jayapura — The presence of the Task Force Operation Peace Cartenz 2026 in Papua has received appreciation from Papuan youth leader Doni Donatus Gobai, who stated that the humanistic approach adopted by the task force has had a tangible impact on maintaining security stability and fostering a sense of safety among the community.
Doni noted that security conditions in several regions of Papua have recently shown increasingly positive developments. Community activities are gradually returning to normal, economic activities are beginning to recover, and social life is becoming more orderly and peaceful.
According to him, the Task Force Operation Peace Cartenz 2026 is not solely focused on law enforcement measures, but also actively prioritizes communication and engagement with local communities. This approach is considered effective in creating a more harmonious atmosphere and strengthening public trust in security personnel.
“What I see is that the Task Force Operation Peace Cartenz is not only about security operations. They also build communication and establish closer relationships with the community. This makes people feel safer, respected, and protected,” Doni said.
He also expressed his support for law enforcement efforts against armed groups that have disrupted public order and threatened civilian safety. Nevertheless, Doni emphasized that all enforcement actions must continue to uphold humanitarian values.
“Law enforcement is necessary, but the approach must remain humanistic. When people feel protected, public trust in the state will grow stronger,” he added.
Furthermore, Doni urged the people of Papua not to be easily influenced by unverified information that could potentially undermine unity. He stressed that community participation and solidarity play a vital role in maintaining the peaceful conditions that are gradually being established.
“Papua is our shared home. If not us, who else will protect it? Let us preserve this improving situation with a spirit of brotherhood,” he concluded.
